We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2025, Christopher Michael Oden (Calera, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lee, Gladys Webb, Eugene and Mary Oden; his mother Marie Gilmer; his uncle Buddy Webb; and his brother Matthew Gilmer.

He is survived by: his wife April Hassell; his children, Hailee Oden, Parker Oden (Kelly Camp Mason), Kaya Kochan, Brayden Hassell and Grayci Kochan; his grandchild Anjell Kochan; his father Mike Oden (Pam); his aunts, Sandy Webb Vernon and Valerie Davis; and his brothers, James "Jimmy" Gilmer, Allen Oden and Daniel Oden. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his spoiled furbabies.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Charter Funeral Home (2521 US-31, Calera, AL 35040). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
