He is survived by: his children, Wayne Sims (Deborah) and Kelley Sims Andrich (Edward); his granddaughter Erin Brianna Sims; his close friend Lila Barber; and his sister Peggy Sims Freeman (Robert). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
