She is survived by: her daughter Kay Gray (Rick); her siblings, Grace Herndon, Glenda Rank (Tony) and Marvin Minor (Carolyn); her grandchildren, Jerry McKenzie (Yvonne), Scotty McKenzie (Barrie Leigh), Jason Wainright (Misty), Jonathan McKenzie (Liz), Steven Charlton (Megan) and Emily Bush (Justin); her great grandchildren, Katie, Drake, Dalton, Laila, Tucker, Clark, Hunter, Luke, Decker, Piper, Dadi Grace, Parker Beau, Emma Scott, Ava and Kinley; and her great great grandchildren, Adilynn, Max and Easton.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bumpers Funeral Home (302 Vanity Fair Ave, Butler, AL 36904). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations be made in memory of Verna Wainright to the Mt. Sterling Cemetery Fund at 512 Tuscahoma Road, Butler, AL 36904.
