He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Watson and Velma Watson; and his son Keith Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Jean Garnet Watson; his children, Kent Watson, Brance Watson and Lorie Thornton (Mike); his grandchildren, Paige Love (Justin), Sam Brooks, Loren Richards (Matt) and Justin Chandler (Kaylah); and his great grandchildren, Charlie Richards, Ray, Ky Love, Jax and Ellie Chandler.

In Lieu of flowers. Memorials may be made to the Southside Baptist Church or Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
