He was predeceased by: his parents, Elliott Ford and Willie Helms Ford; and his brothers, Elliot and Bobby Ford. He is survived by: his children, Debra Shoultz (Joe), Kathy Levy (Earnest), Tommy Ford (Courtney) of Southfield, MI and Samajai Kelley; his siblings, Pauline Jordan, Murray Ford (Doris), Sam Ford (Bessie) and Jimmy Harris; his siblings-in-law, Eddie Miller, Fluker Miller, Carolyn Wilson and Beulah Dial; his aunt Delois Riley; and his cousins, Earnestine Cunningham and Margaree Ruffin. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
