He was predeceased by: his parents, David Lee Gibson and Cora Mae Champion Gibson; and his siblings, Homer Lee Gibson, David Lee Gibson, Jr., Marie Shoemaker, Shelby Jean Boykin and Mary Jane Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Vickie Turner Gibson of Mt. Sterling, AL; his children, Randall Scott Gibson (Tammy) of Mt. Sterling, AL, Norma Jean Jimmerson (Lamar) of Jachin, AL and Jeri Denise Tindle (David) of Butler, AL; and his siblings, William Alfred Gibson of Toxey, AL and Margurite Glover of Camp Springs, AL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
