He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Gilliland and Irene Wheat Gilliland; and his brother Frederick Gilliland. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Schofield Gilliland; his children, Ashley Sullivan (Allen) and Jason Gilliland; his siblings, JoAnn Ray, Eddie Lou Tilley, Bonnie Branyon, Wayne Gilliland and James Gilliland; and his grandchildren, Kristin Sullivan, Anna Katie Sullivan, Clay Sullivan and Taylor Gilliland.
