He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kennemore and Paralee Kennemore; and his siblings, Alene Lewis, Elaine Nelms and Joe C. Kennemore.

He is survived by: his wife Mavis; his sons, Wesley Ron (Linda) of Pelham, AL and Malcolm Eugene (Cynthia) of Harrison, TN; and his grandchildren, Tyler, David (Beth) and Lyssette Woodke (John). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, seven brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
