He was predeceased by: his parents, Beason Bethune and Sally Lucille Holland Bethune; and his siblings, Jeanetta Wootten and James Bethune. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Hartline Bethune; his children, Marcella McDowell (Tim), Dewayne Bethune (Deborah), Benny Bethune (Tammy) and Matthew Bethune (Misty); his grandchildren, Yolanda, Natasha, Brittany, Blake, Bryson, Benton, Mikayla, Miranda, Shadee and Phoebe; and his siblings, Alice Moore (Jerry), Pat Britt (Powell), Gail Burt, Reba Bohannon, Francene Bethune, Debra Matthews (Stan), Kenneth Bethune (Coney), Robert Bethune (Wanda) and Gerald Bethune (Dianna). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
