He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thorton and Josephine "Josie" Hart Gray; and his siblings, Lora Bell Mosteller, Jean Davis, Rufus Gray, Lee "Punk" Gray, Delbert Gray and Kelly Gray.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Powell Gray; his son David Gray; his grandchildren, Corey Kidd (Jackie Miles) and Amber Smith (Dillion); his great grandchildren, Finley Kidd, Grayson Smith and Callie Smith; and his sister Kay Hall. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
