She was predeceased by: her father George Henry Pipkins; her husband John Byron Thompson; her children, Bertha Thompson Williamson and Gordan Thompson; and her siblings, Mavis Rike, Elizabeth Cotton and Irvin Pipkins.

She is survived by: her son William Thompson (Carol); her granddaughters, Heather Taylor and Kerri Taylor; her great grandchildren, Ada Karoline and Noah Taylor; and her brother-in-law Charles Cotten.
