He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Laughmiller and Alan Jewel Byrd, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Mclendon Byrd; his children, Kelly Byrd Cordle (Gregory), Braxton Byrd, Kristie Harris (Homer) and AJ Wentland (Candy Lynn); and his grandchildren, Logan, Abel, Brayden (Cordle), Emma Grace, Bobby Jr. (Anderson), Kinsley, Kailee, Lane, Nova (Harris), Bryson, Ava, Greyson and Mary Jean (Wentland).
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home (6549 US-231, Brundidge, AL 36010).
