With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Don Lavon Sawyer Sr. of Brundidge, Alabama, who passed away on March 27, 2021 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his children, Mark Miley and Dana Sawyer; his parents, Elzie Sawyer and Johnnie Lou Sawyer; and his brother Lamar "Peewee" Sawyer.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Sawyer; his children, Von Sawyer (Tammy), Shawn Sawyer (Mandy) and Donna Renfroe (John); his daughter-in-law Rhonda Miley; his grandchildren, Abigail Mann (John), Callie Sawyer, Hayden Carnley (Heather), Gunner Sawyer, Jodie Matney (Brian), Taylor Renfroe (Ansley), Peyton Taylor (Dusty) and Kelly Downing (Jeremy); his nephew Larry Sawyer (Karn); his niece Michelle Sawyer (Chris); and his aunt Lucy Outlaw. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Mt. Zion Youth Fund.
