He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryan W. Cox and Katherine Thompson Cox; and his brother Doug Cox. He is survived by: his wife Judi Freiley Cox; his sons, Tracy Cox (Sherrie) and Jamie Cox (Stacey); and his siblings, Marilyn Younger, Katie Lindsey (James) and Bryan Cox (Gloria). He is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations honoring Jim to be made to Hospice of West Alabama, St. Jude, or the Gideons International.
