He was predeceased by: his parents, Laney L Rich and Channie M. Rich; and his brothers, James Rich and Donald Rich. He is survived by: his wife Clara Rich of Sylacauga; his sons, Steve Rich (Sheila) of Harpersville, Scott Rich (Renee) of Childersburg and Stan Rich (Susan) of Tuscaloosa; his grandchildren, Austin Rich, Jordan Rich, Kaylan Rich and Baylee Rich; and his siblings, Darrel Rich (Alex) of Germany, Barbara Bowling of Eufala, Patsy Weaver of Pell City and Georgia F McGhee (John) of Newton.
