He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Clay Long, Sr. and Pearl Lee Hicks Long; his wife Jerry Jones Long; his siblings, Thomas Miller (Big Tom), Editha Mitchell and Geraldine Busby; his sons, Clay Long (Janet), Rodney Long (Evelee) and Bradley Long (Judy); and his grandchildren, Stephanie Miller (Forrest), Patrick Long (Amanda), Robin Bryant (Kenneth), Craig Long (Karie), David Long (Mary) and Mark Long. He was also cherished by ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
