She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Fred Derryberry; her parents, James S. Wates and Mary Ida Hollis Wates; her children, Belinda Brown and Robert V. Derryberry; and her sister Willene Pridmore.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Hurt (Gary) and Mary Ann Hardin; her grandchildren, Christy Brown Dozier, Lisa Brown Sandlin (Mark), Kevin Hardin (Danna), Jonathan Hurt (Kathy) and Jessica Hurt; her sister-in-law Helen Partain; and her nephew James Pridmore (Grace). She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
