He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Ward Fields and Herman Edward Fields, Sr.; and his sisters, Dot Chastain, Elizabeth Perkins and Margret Pitts.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen Fields; his son Eddie Fields (Debbie) of Brilliant, AL; and his grandchildren, Devin Taylor (Russ), Dana Renfroe (Glendon) and Drew Fields (Katie). He is also survived by 7 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Gideons.
