He was predeceased by: his parents, Larkin Edward "Buck" and Viola Estes Flippo; and his siblings, Joann Sandlin, Kathy Franks, Charles Ray Flippo and Michael Flippo.
He is survived by: his brothers, Ricky Flippo of Brilliant and Danny Flippo (Brenda). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
