He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Talkington and Ola Jane Talkington; his son Douglas Ray; and his siblings, Leonard, Pete, Jay, Jess and Faye (Rona).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Andies Talkington; his children, Debbie Talley (Greg), Kelley Talley (Brent) and David Troutman; his granddaughters, Trisha Guthrie (Jake), Addy Talley and Kady Talley; his great grandchildren, Hadley and Boomer Guthrie; and his sister Bernice Nance. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Valley Funeral Home - Stevenson (1214 Kentucky Ave, Stevenson, AL 35772). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
