He is survived by: his parent Polly Fern Allison Stewart; his children, Sheila Evett (Gary) of Scottsboro, Bobby Joe "Jody" Stewart, Jr. (Linda) of Scottsboro and Jackie Lynn Stewart (Holly) of South Pittsburg, TN; and his grandchildren, Tammy Guess, Treva Keel, Jamie Harris, Kristie Stewart, Krisy Evitts and Tyler Stewart. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter.
