He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Gibson Boykin and Alvin Pettis; and his brother Bobby Boykin. He is survived by: his children, Gaye Harper (Danny Seamster) of Pamplin, Virginia Tillman Rusty Pettis of Brewton, Vivian Annette Macks of Brewton and John Allen Pettis of Brewton; his sister Ann Boykin Negus of Mobile; and his grandchildren, Barbara Ann Huckabaa of Brewton, Jamie Lynne Blotter (Paul) of Mobile and Christie LaShae Macks of Tampa. He is also survived by Great Grandchildren (2) Great Great Grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews.
