It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Mitchell of Brewton, Alabama, who passed away on February 23, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Col. Fred Mitchell and Sybil Wiggins Mitchell; and his brother Alfred Henry "Buddy" Mitchell. He is survived by: his siblings, James Fred Mitchell, Jr. (Anne) of Foley, AL and Tanya Marie Mitchell of Redwood City, CA; his nephews, James Fred Mitchell III (Joy) of Daphne, AL, Douglas Bolton Mitchell (Holly) of Auburn, Jesse Benjamin Mitchell (Amanda) of Wilton, CT, Alfred Henry Mitchell, Jr. of Spanish, Fort, Jason Green Mitchell of Montgomery and Justin Mitchell Carte of Redwood City, CA; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Constance Cary Mitchell, Olivia Brantley Mitchell, Emory Anne Mitchell, Thomas Jason Mitchell, John Patrick Mitchell, Samantha Mitchell, Quinn Saunders Mitchell and Clara Jane Mitchell; and his close friend John Smith of Brewton.
