She was predeceased by: her parents, George Powell and Ila Powell; her son David Anthony Cain, Sr.; and her siblings, Hagood Powell, Riley E. Powell, Ernestine Jackson, Ida Mae Coleman and Maddie Powell.
She is survived by: her husband Cardwell of Brewton; her niece Brenda Stewart of Mississippi; and her grandchildren, David Anthony Cain Jr. and Ashlynn Nicole Cain.
