He was predeceased by: his wife Maggie Lee Montgomery Lail; his sons, Howard Eugene Lail and Jerry Vernon; his siblings, Mary Jane Salter, Robert Lail, Ronnie Lail, Donnie Lail and Richard Lail; and his parents, Mary Grice Lail and Robert Lee Lail.
He is survived by: his children, Lewis Earl Lail, Sr., Jerome Lail (Lisa), Wanda Rauch and Tina Turner; his sisters, Shirley Barlow (Jimmy), Joyce Courtney and Bernice Barlow; and his grandchildren, Cassie, Janet, Becky, Crystal, Nettie, Lewis Jr., Misty, Jessica, Andrea, Damon and Brandy. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel (1018 Florala Hwy, Opp, AL 36467). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at the Ino Baptist Church Cemetery.
