She was predeceased by : her husband Robert Newton Downing. She is survived by : her sons, William N. "Bill" Downing (Sharon Baker Downing) of Mexia, AL and Rickey Lavon Downing of Castleberry, AL; her grandchildren, Ashley White (Jason) and William Chad Downing (Amanda); and her great grandchildren, Austin White, Justin White, Peyton White, Brooks Downing and Reece Downing.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the London Baptist Church (11272 County Rd 6, Castleberry, AL 36432). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
