He was predeceased by: his mother Gayle Fountain; his grandparents, Hugh Thomas and Pearlie Mae Fountain; and also, Eugene and Eloise Cargill.
He is survived by: his father Hugh Fountain; his siblings, Kim, Kay, Scott and Jason; his wife Susan Locklier Fountain; his children, Hannah Fountain Helton (Brett), H. T. Fountain (Abigail) and Troy; and his grandchildren, Lock and Champ Helton.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the W. S. Neal Football Field House (823 Andrew Jackson St, Brewton, AL 36426). A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Buddy Taylor Memorial.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Coach Hugh Fountain Scholarship Fund (702 Greenlawn Circle, Flomaton, AL 36441) to continue his legacy of helping student-athletes achieve their dreams.
