He was predeceased by: his parents, Isiah Hagood and Ella Mamie Godwin Taylor; and his siblings, William Taylor, Don Taylor, Bob Taylor, Jake Taylor, Alfred Taylor, Hagood Taylor, Vonnie Helton, Elizabeth Davis, Lucy Hawsey, Ruth Simmons and Lily Bell Taylor.

He is survived by: his children, Frank Taylor (Cynthia) of Colorado Springs and Fran Taylor of Brewton; his sister Nell Jerrard of Florida; his grandchildren, Zackary Frank Taylor, Caleb Kent, Ali (Matt Jordan) and Taylor; and his great grandchildren, Annelise Kent, Reagan Morris, John David Smith, Anderson Hall and Brantley Hall.
