She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Williams and Modine Grimmett Williams; her husband Verlon D. McSwain; her siblings, Hazel McSwain, Oleta Campbell, Coleen Campbell, Bertie Mae Calvert, Verla Taylor, Cordis Williams, Virgil Williams, Herman Williams, Clyde Williams and Billy Williams; and her grandson Jon Abbott.
She is survived by: her children, Shirlene Abbott (James) and Danny McSwain (Shirley); and her grandchildren, Jeff Abbott (Lisa), Belinda Nesmith (Phillip), Kimberly Locke (Tim), Darlynda May (Jimmy) and Kenneth McSwain (Tammy). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
