She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Harris and Freda Harris (Lair); her son Michael Ray Ballenger; and her cousin Clara Gentry. She is survived by: her husband Bobby "Ray" Ballenger; her children, Laurie Wilkerson (Bobby) and Alan Ballenger (Tonya); her grandchildren, Kyle Mays (Kellie), Sarah Bates (Nick), Meagan Calvert (Preston), Jessica Wilkerson, Destiny Ballenger, Mallory Ballenger, Logan Ballenger, Jamie Ballenger and Andrew Ballenger; and her close friend Harold Busby. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
