He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude O. Sanders and Bessie Sanders (Clifton); his wife Nelda Jean Hancock-Sanders; his daughter Kathy Sanders-Calvert; and his siblings, Helen Kilgo, Gloria Jean Sanders, Billie Faye Harbison and Linda Swann.
He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Schlosser (Matt); his grandchildren, Brandon Parker (Cindy), Jeremy Calvert (Kim), Josh Calvert (Tiffany), Brooklyn Schlosser and Mattilyn Schlosser; his sister Charlotte Chandler (Joe); and his brother-in-law Charles Hancock (Pat). He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
