He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor Johnson; his parents, John Ben Sr. and Willie Campbell Johnson; and his brother Gerald "Cowboy" Johnson. He is survived by: his sisters, Merita Bradley (Malcolm) and Rebecca Adkinson; and his brother-in-law Pete Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other extended family members, and friends.
