He was predeceased by: his parents, W. C. Godwin and Florene Stricklin Godwin; and his siblings, Linda Godwin and Edward Godwin. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Warrick Godwin; his children, Barbie Register (Jeff) and Shan Godwin (Haley); his grandchildren, Jayden Powell (Zachary), Kamryn Ramer, Grey Godwin, Laken North (Jacob), Halee Register (John Evans) and Jeffrey Register (Emily); his great grandchildren, Everlee, Lynlee Evans, Hollis Register and Ryland North; and his grandmother Peggy Johnson (Pete).
