She was predeceased by: her close friend Joe Frank Cross; her parents, Otis Mitchell and Birdie Mae Mitchell; and her siblings, Otis Mitchell Jr., Willie L. Mitchell of Luverne, AL, Etta Ruth Mathews and Lula Burnett.
She is survived by: her siblings, O. J. Mitchell (Ruth) of River Falls, AL, Marie Nelson of Brooklyn, NY, Clidie Mae Lee (James Otis) of Brantley, AL, Helen Daniels, Clara Pearl Jones (Sterling) of Dozier, AL and Nadine Sanders (Ronnie Joe) of Bakersfield, CA; and her close friends, Melva Billips, Gladys Crenshaw, Lessie Bell Mitchell, Mary Louise Caldwell, Celestine Owens, Frances King and Thelma Cross. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
