With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sarah Roden Arrington of Boaz, Alabama, who passed away on January 24, 2025 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sarah Roden Arrington to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeremiah Roden and Clara Woodfin Roden; her husband Millard Arrington; her son David Arrington; and her granddaughter Natalie Arrington.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen (Becky Arrington), Gerald (Dianne Arrington), Glenn Arrington of Boaz, Neal (Jill Arrington) and Nita (Philip Maddox); and her siblings, Ralph Roden of Geraldine, Don Roden of Pisgah, Orpah Dunkin of Ft. Payne and Kathryn Brown of Evergreen. She is also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (225 S Main St, Boaz, AL 35957). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Boaz Children's Ministry in memory of Sarah's years of service as a kindergarten Sunday School teacher and her deep love for children, P.O. Box 337, Boaz, AL 35957.
