He was predeceased by: his former wife Patricia Ann Brewer; and his mother Edna Mae Brewer. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Brewer; his children, Jason Dawson, Tera Dawson, JoShannon Perdew, Colleen Coppins, Amanda Owens and Mahala Hayes; his father C. W. Brewer; his sisters, Edna Barriner, Sue Huffman and Annette Kesler; and his niece Nehews. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren.
