He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Bert and Wynell Wilson Thompson; his sisters, Mary Sims and Martha Frances Thompson; his nephew Terry Bert Sims; and his brother-in-law Roger Dale Sims.
He is survived by: his brothers, Tommy Arthur Thompson of Gadsden and John Bert Thompson (Glenda) of Boaz; his nieces and nephews, Timothy Dale Sims, Anthony Blake Thompson, Phillip Shane Otinger, Lori Sue Thompson and Bess Clowers Molnar; and his close friend Dewayne Wray.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to either 2nd Chance Animal Shelter, 130 Co. Rd 398, Boaz, AL 35957 or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
