She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Higginbotham and Margaret Higginbotham (Sims); her husband Maxie O'Neal Staton; and her sister Doris Campbell. She is survived by: her children, Lonnie Staton (Toni), Dion Staton (Michelle), Cynthia Pierce and Debbie Graves (Bobby); and her siblings, Harold Higginbotham, Jeanette Higginbotham and Reva Salter. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home (17885 AL-160, Cleveland, AL 35049).
