He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Ward; his parents, Hershel Ward and Mama Ward; and his siblings, Clifford, Wilburn, Roy, Albert, Wayne, Evelyn and Jeanette.
He is survived by: his children, Dwayne Ward and Jackie Bell; and his sister Shirley Lybrand. He is also survived by five grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Etowah Memorial Chapel (12600 US-431, Sardis City, AL 35956). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
