He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Jo Sims; and his parents, Henry Sims and Jessie Sims. He is survived by: his sons, Eddie (Brooke Sims) and Teddy (Kendra Sims); his grandchildren, Brittnie Roberson, Spencer Sims, Payton Hensley, Kaylan Beam and Branden Sims; and his sisters, Shelby Bickerstaff of Boaz and Judy Woods of Georgia. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McRae Chapel (99 Glenda Dr, Boaz, AL 35957). A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at the Hillcrest Cemetery.
