She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn C. Gilbert and Margie Thacker Gilbert; and her siblings, Lionel Gilbert (Elaine), Phillip Gilbert and Libby McClendon.
She is survived by: her brother Dwight Gilbert (Freda); her siblings-in-law, Don McClendon and Suzanne Gilbert; and her nieces and nephews, Darlene Mosley (Phillip), Eric Gilbert, Chris Gilbert, Michael Benson, Sonya Piazza (Michael), Stacy Pope (Kerry), Lori Johnson (Randall), Jenni McClendon, Jessica Seay Stewart (Matt), Magen Smith (Justin) and Meredith Folks (Dalton).
A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the W. T. Wilson Funeral Chapel (2226 Shiloh Main Street, Rainsville, AL 35986).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shepard's Cove Hospice.
