He was predeceased by: his parents, Winston Bell and Elizabeth Hicks; his sisters, Rosebud Hicks and Ruby England; and his grandson Cody Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Fay Simmons Hicks; his children, Gary (Becky), Diane Harvey (Nick), Teresa Sloan (David), Carol Phillips (Jamey) and Sherry Pierce (Jon); his grandchildren, Joshua Harvey (Stephanie), Emily Breaseale, Whitney Harvey-Bluer (James), Tyler Hicks, Meagan Cramer (Gary), Chloe Hester (C. J.), Alayna Coffey (Alex) and Samuel Phillips; his great grandchildren, Kaley Higginbotham, Harper Breaseale, Bentley Harvey, Lauren Breaseale, Bryce Bluher, Ivy Hicks, Ansley Harvey, Declan Bluher, Clare Bluher, Noa Cramer and Briggs Hicks; and his siblings, Maude Mae Fox, Revie England, Edith Fox, Patsy Jones, Benny Hicks, Kenneth Hicks and Johnny Hicks.
