It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Dawn Gilley of Blountsville, Alabama, who passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Melissa Dawn farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Melissa Dawn is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Gilley; and her parents, Jimmie Williams and Geneva Williams. She is survived by: her children, Britney Quinn (David) and Johnathan Gilley; her grandchildren, Telisha Gilley, Saylor Quinn and Connor Quinn; and her sisters, April Ashby and Angie McGraw (Troy).
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
