He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Waters Privett; his daughter Sharon Jones; and his siblings, Eunice Privett, Marlin Privett, Sue Downs and Newman Privett.
He is survived by: his children, Sammy Waters, Shiela Wilhite (Jimmy) and Sonya Hooper (James); his significant other Jessie Hutchins; and his children, Sherry Chapman, Sheila Pardue and Diane Hutchins. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews.
