He is survived by: his sons, DeWayne Spurgeon (Darla) and Richard Spurgeon (Stacy); his grandchildren, Alan, Mathew (Jessica), Noah (Cami) and Summer; and his close friend Jeri Hodo. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
