He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wingate and Betty Jean Wingate. He is survived by: his wife Caryn; his son Bill Wingate; his daughter-in-law Martha Wingate; his granddaughter Mary Hudson Wingate; his stepson Matthew Woods; and his siblings, John Charles "Chuck" Wingate (Sandra), Toni Waldrop (William) and Paul Wingate (Lisa). He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
