He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanne S. Chilton; and his brother Alfred Lee Chilton. He is survived by: his children, Mark William Chilton (Susan), Deborah Chilton McWaters (Cas) and Elisabeth Chilton Hethcox (Joel); his sister Barbara Hazard (Don); and his grandchildren, Ben Chilton (Katie), Jenni Chilton, Katie Chilton, Hanley McWaters, Heath McWaters, Emily Hethcox and Will Hethcox.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Shades Mountain Baptist Church "Make Jesus Known" Missions Fund or the charity of your choice.
