He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Johns and Clennie Johns; his wife Joyce Ann Johns; his son Perry Lee Johns; and his siblings, Grace Robertson and Roger Johns.
He is survived by: his children, William E. Johns Jr. (Billy), Connie Denice Johns and Nancy Lea Johns; and his grandchildren, Tiffany, Blake, Christy, Brittany, Vanessa, Brent, Will, Kayla, Haley and Nathaniel. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
