He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Ratliff; his parents, William Sr. Ratliff and Gertrude Ratliff of Irondale, Alabama; and his son William Ratliff III (Phyllis). He is survived by: his sons, Fred Ratliff (Debbie) and Michael Ratliff (Brenda). He is also survived by grandchildren and eleven (11) great grandchildren.
