He was predeceased by: his parents, Drew Bussey and Mae Bussey; his wife Joyce Bussey; his brother Curtis Bussey (Doris); his granddaughter Jessica Ryan; and his great grandchild Peyton Knox.

He is survived by: his children, Darline Ryan (John), Edward Bussey (Kim) and Tammy Elliot (Bill); his grandchildren, Sean Ryan (Paige), Monique Knox (Matt), Brandon Ryan, Savanna Ryan, Allye Combs (Reed), Troy Elliot (Tabitha) and Tyler Reed; his sisters, Helen McCloud and Ann Griffith (Terry); and his close friend Buddy. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
